Meet Morag

Certified Health Coach

I spent most of my working life as a GP and have always aspired to work holistically.  Increasingly, my workload was dominated by problems arising from difficult lives and less than good lifestyle behaviours. I longed to have enough time to listen and support people to find the best solutions they could to feel more in control of their health and wellbeing.  This needs s a longer conversation than can take place in a GP consultation and I now work just in health coaching.

 

Living a healthy lifestyle is not hard or complicated. You don't need to spend hours in your kitchen whipping up new recipes, spending hours at the gym or perfecting your breathing techniques. This coaching combines the science of health and the art of living to give you practical tools to improve how you feel, how you look and how you live, so that you can experience life at its fullest.

I will create a supportive conversation using motivational interviewing techniques that focuses on creating personalised, achievable goals for healthier habits, feeling well and getting the best out of life.

I went to see Morag when I realised that my running mojo had vanished. Running had been my go-to form of exercise and I felt lost without it. Morag asked me loads of questions and most importantly listened to the answers and from there we formulated a plan and a goal. I changed my goal but that’s all right because my session with Morag worked on a deeper level to realise what I thought I wanted wasn’t that at all. Thanks, Morag!

I’ve always had a weird relationship with exercise especially cardio. I always felt I should exercise and it should be running. This left me exercising less, finding any excuse not to do it and then feeling bad about it. Working with Morag I realised my negative mindset around exercise was deep and it affected other parts of my life I hadn't realised. An introductory chat of up to 20 minutes will help to check that health coaching is right for you.

From there sessions would be 45-60 minutes, on zoom or in person.

Cost: £50 per session with a requirement to book 3 sessions at a time*
